Forgotten

I used to watch movies ALL the time. It was basically the only thing I did besides somewhat trying to not flunk out of college. But ever since I've started pursuing film as a career, I really haven't watched movies the way I used to. The result is that I'd almost forgotten how much I really LOVE movies and why I'm out here in California chasing a dream.

I remember now.

And all because of The Matrix.

It was the first rated R movie that I ever saw. And it was largely responsible for sparking my growing obsession with movies. I remember how blown away I was watching it for the first time on the big screen in my basement in the dark after senior prom (or junior winter formal it's hard to remember). I've always been in love with the magic of movies. Before I could talk Superman stole my heart, he flew. In fifth grade Jurassic Park blew my world apart. And in high school I found out what The Matrix was.

I remember now.

That fire.

That Magic.

God help me.

I want it.
