I really wish colleges would wait at least a couple of years before asking their alumna for money.
What are you stupid?
You just bled our resources dry for how many years and now you want us to gift you money?
Right. Smart. Wait five years when perhaps we have steady jobs, don't ask within the first year when most of us are either unemployed or just holding down a low wage job to get by and pay our loans.
It's stupid. And is not likely going to make us think kindly of you in the future when you come back begging for more money.
I'm tired of being asked for money I don't have for causes that I couldn't care less about. I paid full tuition, I'm not about to help others who may or may not be qualified to even receive a higher education. You don't care about the student's education, you care about your bottom line and the things you can say to lure more into your halls.
Having said that. I love both my colleges. Just one more than the other. Way more.
